Royal Brunei or.....Jetstar
Am looking at travelling to Singapore and KL in June, and one priority is to get the cheapest flights as possible. Flying from East Coast Australia, there are really two options:
1. Jetstar to Singapore via Darwin (A320/A321)
2. Royal Brunei to Singapore via Brunei (777/A319)
Does anyone have any opinions or feedback on the aforementioned airlines on these routes?

Royal Brunei are dry - no booze on board - but otherwise pretty good. They were 6 years ago anyway... Brunei airport was pretty unexciting, but I don't know that Darwin is that flash either?
Are the direct flights so much more expensive that it's worth the hassle of a stopover?

Used RBA last year, everything was fine and on schedule, very good value. Brunei is a pretty small airport and nothing much to do, however you can atke a trip into town if the stop over is long enough.
We had the old 767 and onward a A320, I would imagine that the 777's now in service will offer a better product, don't go expecting SIA standards for a budget price though, but as a good value airline worth a try.
