DXB T3 Transit pax
Hi there,
Can I pick a brain or two please.
I have an international arrival to international departure through DXB (T3 with EK) coming up, with a less than three hour connection.
What are the transit procedures at DXB? Will it be a time consuming, full blown baggage reclaim, immigration and customs before checking in again, security etc.
Or (fingers crossed) is it a through check-in at point of departure, airside transit lounge with somewhere to smoke myself stupid before the next sector?
I am a big boy, and will have patches, but would like to know the truth to prepare for the worst :-)
Cheers in advance,
Bored

Assuming that both flights are EK as you leave the first flight you will pass through security and that's it you're done.
No baggage reclaim or Immigration you go straight into the departure lounge.
Security can take some time depending on the queues but 3 hours is plenty of time.
If you're in Business there is a dedicated smoking section in the EK lounge and I believe that there are smoking rooms in the terminal if you're not

Cheers for taking the time to put my mind at rest. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My lungs, on the other hand have disowned you ;-)
