OneWorld in China

Has anyone heard any rumours about OneWorld improving their position in China?

I used to be OneWorld Emerald, but as I now travel mostly to, from and within China I've given up on OneWorld and am now Star Gold and Skyteam Elite+. OneWorld has always been weak in China. The position on flights to and from China improved when Dragonair joined OneWorld, but that still leaves them without domestic flights in the world's second biggest market. And as OneWorld members have very little, if any, codesharing on Dragonair flights the current situation works to the advantage of Cathay Pacific and JAL as they are the only members offering alliance flights to cities other than Beijing and Shanghai.

OneWorld missed out on the last big Chinese airline when China Eastern decided to join Skyteam. Is it likely that OneWorld will be trying to bring Hainan onboard? Or will Cathay try to block that?
