Maybe things will improve with the 'be outstanding' new Mixed Fleet. Apparently some existing crew who applied to move over to this new fleet have been unsuccessful in their applications. It sounds like BA really are only interested in recruiting the elite for this new era within BA.

Got to agree with Ancient Observer,
I fly often enough to feel able to register a different experience to your own. Most of the ground staff seem pretty good to me. Was travelling around the US recently and I personallly would compare them very favourably with what I saw and experienced there. There are plenty of them prepared to own the problem and go the extra mile to get it sorted, from what I've seen.

Human beings
If you go in to any inter action believing that the outcome will be bad, then, guess what? The outcome will be bad.
On any interaction with another human being, if you start it positively, believing in a good outcome, you increase your chances of achieving a good outcome.................that applies to staff and customers in Aviation as well as in real life. (Which Aviation often isn't)
