Question World Traveller Plus

I am flying to Singapore with BA out of LHR this weekend and was wondering what were the best seats for legroom to go for in World Traveller Plus, company cutbacks mean this drop in cabin for me this time and 14hrs is a long old time to be cramped up, especially when working the next day. Any info on bulkhead rows to ask for would be most appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
SH

The LHR-SIN flights are heavily booked but try Row 28 seats B/C/H/J as they are the exit row seats assuming that they are using the regular 747-400.

Just to correct FT... there is no C or H seat in WTP.

BA have two layouts of WTP on the 744 - the likely one for SIN will be 28-31, AB-DEFG-JK. I would recommend 29A or 29K - there is no seat in front of you, because of the slide on the door ahead of row 28. If you're on your own, try 28B or 28J - no neighbour. Apart from that, the legroom is fine on all the seats - I'm 6'4" and fly WTP a lot on leisure.

On the other config, its AB-DEFG-JK thoughout the cabin - no missing seats, no exit rows. 17B and 17J give you more room tho, if you're happy with your feet in the aisle!

Dunno which aircraft they use on which route - have always found the 28-31 arrangement on Far East trips, and the 17-21 on North American ones... what Jo'Burg is, god knows.

Suggestion - when you check in, see what they suggest as a seat - that will tell you the config, and you can decide from there!

SAS is "the other" major who have installed what they call an "Economy +" cabin in the new A340s. Haven't tried them though; flew in the new C CPH-PEK-CPH recently and that was fantastic. Best business class I've ever tried, beat the crap out of LH/AF/SR/SN/DL/KL. Haven't tried the new BA C class so won't draw comparisons there.

Nothing happened as far as I am aware with anyone trying to top themselves, might have relieved the boredom.. .Waste of question in the end! Those absolutely wonderful, marvellous and fantastic folks at BA bumped me up to Club. Very much appreciated, still didn't get much sleep though, silly time of day to fly if you ask me.

. .All I want from life is a pair of Ruby Slippers to take me home.

[quote]Thanks for that info twin..... is that the same config for Jo'burg!?!?!?

Joburg uses the "start at row 17" config. I have a WT+ flight booked for later this year and have been preassigned 18A and 18B.

Remember if you are a BA Exec Club member you can go onto the website 24 hours before departure and use on-line check-in to choose the best seats. In my case I'll be after row 17.

Non-Exec Club members can register but can only on-line check-in 12 hours in advance.

I have just noticed a large BA ad in The Independent (UK broadsheet paper) for WT+

They state, "A world of space between economy and business with 7 inches extra legroom."
