Awww Fair play to you, I was on that flight (I was the one making the announcements lol).... Frustratingly brutal delay at the start of it but glad to hear you still enjoyed the flight!!!!

I didn't mention the delay because that was outwith BA's control. We were kept well informed throughout as to what was going on & the cabin service was incredibly swift once airborne. Well done & sincere thanks to all of you.

I wonder if the missing pax has woken up yet?

I had a flight out of MLA to LGW last year - delayed by a suspect package [turned out to be a dropped DVD or something]. "Captain Speaking" kept everyone informed throughout the delay of a couple of hours as we sat in the Departures area.

There are so many GOOD things about BA; its such a shame that they get buried under the noise. But then I guess we all, as Brits, enjoy a good bleat!

MaxJet used to get round the "returns" problem by letting the CC distribute free bottles [unopened] to the pax of their choice - the OH and I got off once with 3 bottles!!
Yet another contributory reason for Maxjet's early demise.

Mr Salmon - no, honestly.

They over-expanded too soon. I had discussed this with a couple of cockpit guys at Dulles. The expansion to LAS and LAX stretched their operation too far; they then ran into ac unserviceability issues they weren't capable of covering [it was always a bit tenuous when they just did IAD and JFK].

The aircraft were a bit old and tired, but the CC were simply AMAZING. I regret their departure very much.

BTW, nice to see you again!
