USAir discontinued LGW to PHL

Probably old news, but I didn't realise until I just tried to book.

A year ago there was at least a dozen options to get to JFK, EWR, PHL, infact the USAIR > PHL service used to run 2x a day.

This leaves no direct flights at all to the East Coast of the US from Gatwick.

Presumably you mean the Northeast since Atlanta (DL/NW), Charlotte (US), Orlando (BA/VS) and Tampa (BA) are all generally considered to be the East Coast.

Your right - just LHR - PHL or LGW - CLT - PHL now. Actually quite a lot of the LGW - PHL pax having tried the LHR service have come back to LGW and route via CLT.
