Ticket Pricing

Ticket pricing in this day and age is very wierd. I want to go to Syd in January. I want to travel Business class.
Ticket prices (business) quoted from the UK/nearby vary from £2200, (EY from CDG) right up to 3 times that. Etihad from Paris is £2200, but from lhr it's £3300.
Last month, Emirates had a special of £1800. That's now gone.
I suspect that I'd prefer to have less choice - and then I'd be sure that I would not be ripped off as a price plunged!
Maybe an airline ought to offer a price guarantee. "Buy at this price, and we'll guarantee that none of the other hoi-polloi will get a ticket for less than that".

No chance.....I once bought a ticket from Belfast to Cleveland....my pal decided two weeks later he would join me and he paid £200 less..same times same flight. I phoned for whinge and they snootily told me that they didn't tell me if the price went UP!.

I was tempted to be less than expeditious when vectoring said airline.....but I am too professional
