How long does it take for a bag left at security by mistake to make its way into the LGW lost property system?

The answer to my question is "in our case, a day and a half". I should hope the bag is intact. It was last seen in the hands of security, who had commenced yet another nice slow search. I didn't have time - I ran back to the gate to get on the aircraft.
