Terminal Design

As you folks spend a great deal of time in, and getting through, the terminals of this world, have you ever had an enquiry as to how you would like the terminal laid out or what it should have in it?

If you had the chance to shape a new terminal what would be your priorities?

For me it would be getting from the outside world, in to the terminal then getting airside from landside. Shops don't measure high on my list.

On arrival I would like to be able to get through Immigration without all the queues.

A design student ran a thread on this subject last year (I think). Cannot recall anything to help you search for it - other than that he asked this exact question and got a goodly number of replies and cited examples of good and bad.

Yes - a design student had a thread asking about this in Spotters Balcony - perhaps take a look through that forum and see what came up there?
