Flying with Austrian Air to BKK in June

Hey!

I wanna book a round-trip with Austrian Airways in June. How big is the chance that the company will go bankrupt and close all flights? Or if Lufthansa by Austrian? Will my ticket still be useable.

How is it to fly with 777-200 ER with Austrian, Good service, IFE?

Have got a real good price in June, but little bit scared to be grounded.. If i pay with my VISA card, will I collect my money back if bankruptsi..

Best Regards

If you're worried about it going bust, which I doubt anyway, use a credit card.

You'd have a hard time trying to get a charge back on a debit card, if ever.

Not much chance of Austrian going bust. Wrong choice of airline for service compared to others but with LH behind them, they are going nowhere soon.

You'll be safe but as people have said, Visa can always come to the rescue!

Credit card will cover you depending on the legislation in the country of origin. If you pay by Visa debit card however you should be ok - certainly in the UK the banks who issue Visa debit cards protect consumers in a similar way to credit cards.

Thanks for your answers, travelling from Stockholm Sweden.
I used to travel with Thai Airways, but whant to try something new, and Austrian were the cheapest Airline this time of year, with nice trevelling time and nice 777-200ER Compared to Thais Old, 747-400..

I Liked thais Service, but that is 200 Euro more in price then Austrian..
