BA using 777s sydney to heathrow

I fly 2 to 3 times a year sydney to heathrow in club world
I got my e ticket for a flight in 2 weeks and noticed it says
its a 777 , ive always been on a 747 before .
does anyone know why its changed ?
is it a lack of demand so smaller aircraft ?
and could anyone tell me what club is like on the 777
( do they have the new seat ?)

thanks

I don't think that all 777s yet have the new seat.

Because the 777 cabin is less wide than the 747, I suspect that maybe the Club seats are narrower. Is this the case?

I'd like to know if anyone out there has a favourite Club seat on a BA 777 (four class).

Thanks!

BA fly two aircraft daily to Sydney.

BA9/10 Flies LHR-BKK-SYD-BKK-LHR with a B747
BA15/16 Flies LHR-SIN-SYD-SIN-LHR with a B777

This is on top of codeshare partner Qantas, who also fly the route with the B747.

BA have used the B777 on the LHR-SIN-SYD route for the last 18 months or so.

The seats are the same (if the 777 has been updated), the 777 aisle is narrower. Which one? It depends what you want. 15 A and K are my favourite - back of the cabin, so no-one walks past, you don't get bumped by the crew using the aisle, you can see out the window, but you are last for the drinks cart and meal service. Avoid aisle seats in row 9: D and F are the ha-ha seats. On night flights if there are no windows I take the centre seats because they are quieter, no-one climbs over you and you don't get disturbed by people in the aisle, again, row 15 if I can. I try and avoid rows D and F (inner aisle) because you get a freezing draught down the back of your neck - well, you do if, like me, you are 1.80 m. This is true of the 777 in every configuration I have flown. If you want to face forward, you have to take an aisle seat.

Window seat next to the emergency exit (row 62?) on the upper deck of a 747 is still the one to beat!

Have just concluded I am a sad bastard.

Not me. You are just a passenger that cares. The cabin is a jungle. It pays to know the enemy.
