LBA to Chambéry - 3.5 hours????

Just been notified by Jet 2 that flight outbound to Chambery on April 9th has been moved to 11:15 take-off slot, landing at Chambéry at 15:45. Having flown this route many times, it appears to be at least 1.5 hours longer than normal! Despite checking with (unhelpful) customer service at Jet 2, they insist the flight time is correct. Can anyone explain why this might be?

So do the french. CET (Central European Time) is GMT+1 in the winter, GMT+2 in the summer.
Look at the return flight times to see.

No - I've checked. The flight times revert to normal the following day (ie) take off at 08:25 and land at Chambery at 11:30

Thanks - that explains the longer flight time. Shouldn't Jet2 advise me of this flight diversion or does it not have to?
Is it common that Jet2 flights from Leeds will fly via Manchester?

Big difference in the words "non stop" and "direct".

I used to operate Aberdeen Paris Charles De Gaulle direct. Pax loved it as we went via Newcastle and Southampton

Majestic

Its the back end of the ski season so out bound loads tend to be low, but more coming back, although its Easter weekend, perhaps a sign of the times!

How strange. I guess there is an aircraft short that day for some reason. It's very, very rare that flights operate this way. It has happened in the past now and again, but only as a last option. And it's normally arranged on the day of the flight and not planned in advance. I guess they have done it this way to avoid a huge delay. Your flight on the 9th April is operated on a B757.
