Thomas Cook to Acapulco

Not sure if this is the right section for this

My parents are going on a cruise on the 18th Feb next year from Acapulco the flight has just been changed they are going to be flying with Thomas Cook from Manchester and have been told the flight time is 17hrs as it has to make a stop on the way.

Anyone any idea where they normally put down enroute on this flight and what aircraft they use ??

Thanks in advance

A330

And going on past years they usually stop in either Orlando or Cancun if it is the former, they will have to complete customs forms as if they were staying in Orlando disembark and reboard.

Cancun is slightly less probelmatic however the airline may opt to get them off for a reclean/recater.

Hi there, I have had a look on the Thomas Cook timetable for you and it looks like its via AUA (Aruba) on the A330, though the flight looks like it leaves on the evening of the 19th Feb around 22.50 from MAN and not the 18th as you say. I have cut and pasted what I think is the flight you mean all in UK departure and arrival times. Do you know the flight number as i wouldn't want to give you bad info?

TCX40K 19FEB09 22:50 MAN AUA 20FEB09 09:00 A330
TCX40K 20FEB09 10:15 AUA ACA 20FEB09 15:00 A330

Hope this helps.

Does anyone have any experience of the Premium seats at the front of the aircraft are they worth the extra cost it is just that my dad is getting on a bit and is a bit worried about the length of the flight.

Do the seats give a lot of extra legroom and recline more.

Economy seats are quite good for legroom now they took a load of them out this year...

Premium seats have an extra 3 inches or so compared to economy nowadays but they are a lot wider

IE: 2 - 3 - 2 config in premium as opposed to 3-3-3 in economy

My experience having travelled in both on that aircraft is that you should go for premium every day....far more relaxing in that seperate small cabin!!

I flew from Luton to Acapulco as a passenger on a 767 (Britannia or TOM not sure) to join P&O cruise in Dec 2005. I queried with the travel agent that it could not go a straight flight. I was then told it went via Montreal. We were due to leave at 22.00 local Luton, and I found that Montreal was night restricted! Arrived at Luton - we went to Halifax instead, not allowed to get off whilst we refuelled, then on to Acapulco arriving 06.00 local. A very tiring flight all round! The best part were the pasengers from tup north who thought they were going to Halifax, West Yorkshire - first stop

I hope your folks enjoy the crooze!!
