BHX / EMA to Nice - Question

Needing to get to Nice (for the first time) on 18th November and I'd prefer to depart from a local airport. I've checked the usual suspects (BMI + Baby, FlyBE, Easy, BA etc) and it looks like there is a route change or ceasing of flights to Nice as of November 1st.

I would be grateful for any advice from someone with experience of the route.

You can use Easy from Luton, Bristol W/ends, and Liverpool about 4 times per week.
Also the schedule flights from Birmingham, with a change of aircraft in either Amsterdam, Brussels or Paris, but it will cost you a lot of money on the latter routes.
