I don't see much drama on the web, which means things must be going relatively smoothly. I hope so.

Good luck to BA staff working T5 today. :-)

Virtually no news reports anywhere. Which must mean that it all went well.

BA website departures information suggests that there weren't any dramas at T5 yesterday, either, even late in the evening.

If this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...erminal-5.html is the best the press can come up with I'd say it sounds like it went well.

The BBC had interviews with people checking in at JFK for T5 and I felt they were trying to provoke negative responses. They got a few but nothing too harsh and (to give the BBC their due) they included one guy who was almost effusive.

BBC just ran something online that sounded like everything went to plan (except for a flight from Zurich in which a luggage container jammed).

I'm glad to see that things went well for (almost) everyone involved.

Where was Willie Walsh ?

1. Down there in his suit at 05.30 to greet the first arrival.
2. Sauntered along about 10 am.
3. On holiday.

If it went well, it must have been in spite of BAA, not because of anything they did.
