Passenger Loads to Australia

Hi everyone,

I'm considering travelling on standby to Australia, prob around May onwards ex LHR.

Just wondering:
What would the loads factors be like?
Is this a good time to go?
I've never done standby on these routes so hopefully someone more experienced can help me out.

Many Thanks

It is really really difficult from what I have been told. We always have people desperate to get home from BKK and SIN begging for jumpseats, etc.

I've heard that going via Tokyo is a much better bet. There are connections to most Australian cities and loads are much lighter, with less other standby staff to compete with. Good luck.
