Air China from Frankfurt to Beijing - What are they like?

I'm due to fly from Frankfurt to Beijing with Air China on a B747-400 - and I'm frankly a bit concerned about this. What kind of safety reputation does this airline have among the "insiders"? I hold a PPL and work in the aerospace field, and I'm always very choosy with my choice of airline and try to stick with established Western airlines....

At least I'm going on Business Class; does anyone have any experiences with this (comfort, cleanliness, service level)?

The last International Airline to have a very serious incident was.........British Airways, so presumably you will not fly with them???????
