Hi there I no this might be a bit old but here it goes.
At xmas me and my girlfriend went to goa and was due to come home on the 6th of jan 2008 but we was delayed for up to 30 hours.
Does anyone know what the problem was with the aircraft

Sorry, we shouldn't have been mocking your spelling (posts now removed) ... not your fault being a product of the British educational system...

And more seriously, a 30 hour delay does NOT sound nice.
Try and explain to your boss why you're two days late turning up at work, for instance.
I hope your luggage at least arrived without having been pilfered or stolen from in the meantime.
Do you seriously mean that you sat around for 30 hours at Goa, without anybody being capable of giving you some sort of clear explanation of what happened, arrange hotel accomodation, etc. ?

I've once or twice been through the usual 6 hours at Gatwick, "due to the late arrival of the incoming aircraft". But 30 hours, no.
