same at Thomsonfly, 33inch pitch in econony, upgrades to premium 37 inch available, far better than BA/VS as they only offer 32/31

Still 2-4-2 on thomsonfly isn't it? Is there much a difference to passenger comfort. Do they even notice?

I know First Choice went from 2-4-2 to a standard 2-3-2 but I get the impression on some flights (not necessarily SFB) that this causes couples to be split up. Am I right in thinking this?

oh yes VS-LHRCSA they certainly do notice the difference been nothing but positive comments re legroom since intro, yes still 2-4-2 but pax happy to trade that for the legroom, only reason FC have 2-3-2 is they are light weight 767 and got a rather good deal from boeing re european launch customer for 7late7.

37 inches of legroom on a charter is truly amazing. Like was pointed out above, the first choice standard economy at 33 inches is better than Virgin (31") or BA (just under 31").

Yeah, sounds good. I'm just trying to get my head around the difference with 2-4-2 as opposed to 2-3-2. From memory, the aisles were narrower but are the seats? Are they noticably narrower. Just thinking ahead for one of university modules. I don't have access to charter aircraft where I can make a decent comparison.
