Air Berlin Going Long Haul

I heard that Air Berlin are commencing long haul services from May next year, initially into China. Most like other destinations to follow.

While it has never been that great news for FlyGlobespan, I think if the price is right...going to Dusseldorf (at least in the first instance) to connect to long haul Air Berlin would be a nice tonic, espcially knowing that the long haul is carried out by effectively LTU who were taken over by Air Berlin.

Any thoughts on this Air Berlin expansion and possible utilisation?

That's just why BER bought LTU - to break into the long haul market with a ready-made fleet of A330s. No more than that.
