In flight service with Swiss?

In need of a good old "session" - heading to Munich this coming weekend to enjoy again the sites and sounds and tastes of the Oktoberfest. Routing via Zurich with Swiss. Never actually been with them. Can i expect a nice journey? Think one of the sectors is with Lufthansa City Line - been with them a few times...just hope not a DHC8Q400.

This year I flew LCY-ZRH-NUE return sitting down the back. LCY-ZRH was a sandwich with tea/coffee/soft drink, ZRH-NUE was the same service minus the sandwich. Plus a tray of chocolate bars handed round before landing on all four sectors.

I use Swiss frequently. Nowadays they have re-invented themselves as a low cost airline but strive to provide legacy class services. I'm generally using them for single sector journeys and in my opinion they provide excellent value for money, they are generally on time, their hub at Zurich is a pleasant airport and I find the staff to be professional.

I'm normally using their C and J products, though have flown in Y a few times. Their C class food service is not market leading, in fact it's pretty bad, but on a short single sector journey it's not an issue for me. Service levels are high though.

Swiss is one of the few airlines I find myself recommending to other travellerers on a regular basis. A good value product.

Thanxs for the responses guys. My departure is really early on friday morning so I hope they are pleasant enough (sounds like they will be) and that the aircraft is warm at the crack of dawn!
