Baggage interline AF / PU from Manchester

Hi all

I recently bought a ticket at an Air France ticket office in Paris from Manchester to Montevideo.

I will be flying from Manchester to Sao Paolo via Paris CDG on an AF e-ticket. My onward journey to Montevideo, Uruguay is on a paper ticket issued by AF in Paris but with Pluna Uruguay (PU).

The AF ticket agent told me that I would have to pick up my hold baggage in Sao Paolo GRU and then check it back in for my Pluna flight.

Would anybody in the know be able to tell me if it is possible to check my bags all the way through from Manchester to Montevideo?

David

2 tickets = 2 separate contracts. Therefore you *should* have to check in for each ticket separately. You can ask nicely at Manchester.
