Changing Hotel reservations

The GF booked a couple of cheap tickets to Italy for October (special offer on BMI Baby), and I booked two hotels, one in Rome and one in Naples, both Holiday Inn, one Original and one Express.

BMI Baby have now emailed the GF to change the date of one of these flights. Now I booked the hotels on the cheapest rate available, which is pre-pay, no cancellation, amends or refunds. Anybody had any experience with Holiday Inns - do they stick strictly to the T&Cs or are they amenable to a change with maybe a management fee?

Cheers

Most Holiday Inns (and others) are franchises, ie. "local" owners. It's their call but I'd be very surprised if they'll waive the charges. Won't hurt to ask though.
