Gatwick to Reykjavik
I am due to fly from Gatwick to Reykjavik with BA in early May. I don't particularly like flying. Generally speaking, does this route have much turbulence (at this time of year)?

I do LHR - Iceland then on to Greenland and Baffin Island and the Northwest Territories and western Canada into YVR about six times a year - and back.
Never had a problem with even minor turbulance.

You will understand this is a gross generalisation about weather systems, but broadly speaking the further away from the equator and toward the poles you go, the smoother the air becomes.
This probably makes Iceland one of the better destinations you could have chosen

Hi there,
Just wanted to let you know that I have lots of experience dealing with people who don't like flying (I'm cabin crew), so feel free to pm me and I'll see what I can do to reassure you if you like.
Kind regards
