Singapore Airlines + Excess baggage

Hi all... can anyone offer some advice, were travelling from manchester > singapore > sydney and then perth direct to manchester...

One problem, we've packed and ready to go at hotel, however dads about 5kg over and im 2.5kg over... !!

anyone got any idea how much it will be ??

A rough guess... is it a lot or small?

as we will have to also pay again from singapore > sydney - perth to manchester.

Thank you all.

£39.00 a kilo was what I was told.

Not sure if that is per sector/journey or return trip.

There are so many variables over excess luggage. With a small over weight amount, most airlines will not charge at this level, the admin being more hassle than the revenue gained and it does depend also on the check in staff. However, there are a few airlines which are more fastidious about it, SQ being one of them. You don't say who you are flying with, although I suspect it may be QF, in which case you might be OK.

I have a mental block when it comes to anything SQ. Still, hope it worked out OK.
