Jatayu

Am due to be flying in Indonesia in the next month and I believe I have been provisionally booked a ticket on Jatayu Airlines. Does anyone know if this is a bad or good idea?? A little nervous given the chequered history of the region.

Established in 2001 they operate old B727 and B737-200 series aircraft. No problem whatsoever if properly maintained. Their aircraft operate in an assortment of paint schemes adapted from the liveries of the aircrafts' previous operators - a sign (for me personally) that the owners are not prepared to invest more than absolutely necessary into a presentable identity. This doesn't per say indicate anything dodgy but does beg the question as to whether cost cutting might be prevelent in other areas of the operation.

To date they have a clean safety record.
