Virgin Gawtwick fleet seats knackered
Sorry - I mean Gatwick
in economy anyway...
anyone else spent 11 hours going to Vegas reclining on what feels like hardboard?

I reckon it's all a plot to promote their new Premium Economy seating.

If you think Virgin's seats are bad, try EasyJet - never mind the comfort, what about the shabby state of the seat covers, with all those unidentifiable stains....Ryanair seats are luxury in comparison.

Maybe Virgin have realised the seats need renewed in economy.
Currently, the A340 600 fleet is having new economy and premium seats fitted, and after this the other airbus's and 747's will probably be done.
Typically (and I know this doesn't help) Virgin prioritise their LHR fleet before LGW/MAN, so it is likely those aircraft you experienced from LGW will not have new economy (or premium) seats for some time.
