Passport info

Hi i need to know if i need to upgrade my passport before my visit to the US in january. I have always been a british citizen and lived in the UK all my life. My current passport was issued in 2003. Now according to US government law all passports must be machine readable for entry into the US.

Does anyone know whether or not my passport will be machine readable?

yes it will be, that rule came in Oct 2005, I went in November and my passport was issued in 2002, I've just had another visa added to it as well.
