SWISS Cancellations

Last Saturday myself & 3 colleagues suffered the cancellation of the 0715 flight to BHX. No big deal, you say, but strangely this is the second time it's happened. Same Saturday flight but a couple months before. We couldn't help thinking that Swiss reckoned the pax load didn't justify getting the crew out of bed!

Anyone else come across this Saturday problem??

That's an RJ flight...maybe the Swiss European crew decided they weren't being paid enough to get up that early on a weekend morning?

The crew ratio per a/c on the RJ fleet is rather small. It could be that an a/c landed late on Friday and there was not enough layover for the crew and maybe no standby crew for Saturday morning. Maybe Fog in BHX. In this case usually the flight with the lowest load gets cancelled.
A bit unfair to point the finger straight away....
