LHR mystery tour

Hello

Very unimportant post but I wonder if anyone can suggest an answer.

A friend of mine is taking us on a mystery stag weekend. All we know is that we meet at LHR @ 0800 on 22/6. We return to LGW sometime on the 25/6.

Any ideas where? Favourite so far is Las Vegas, but I know that you can't go there direct from LHR. But I suppose we may change flights. And it seems bizarre we'd leave Vegas on a Saturday evening. Any guesses...?

We did think a "joke" like that was possible but we're assured we are leaving from LHR - and we need passport and light clothing....

as stated by other posters, its could be anywhere. but to keep your dreams of vegas alive, i have been with AA outward LGW via dallas and back to LHR via boston, so you may be lucky. its often cheaper to go to vegas if you dont stay a saturday night, as a lot of the rooms are booked by californians out for the weekend.

Given the timing of your days, I would guess that you might be going long haul east, by which you would get both Friday and Saturday nights, before crawling back onto the plane for return Sunday on a day flight. Not sure about leaving from LHR and arriving back at LGW though...

Let us know where it was!

Presumably this is likely to be flying there and back on the same airline, to a destination served by that airline from both LHR and LGW.

BA to Amsterdam is what comes immediately to mind.

BA To Prague could be another option, they fly to PRG from both LHR and LGW.

There are more of these than I thought (including codeshares, which count for the purpose of this guessing game). From the BA website (the number is the LHR terminal):-
Aberdeen - 1
Amsterdam - 4
Athens - 1
Barcelona - 1 or 2
Brussels - 4
Budapest - 1
Dublin - 1
Edinburgh - 1
Geneva - 4
Gibraltar - 1
Glasgow - 1
Houston - 4
Kiev - 1
Madrid - 1 or 2
Malaga - 1
Manchester - 1
Marrakech - 1
Newcastle - 1
Nice - 1
Prague - 1
Rome - Fiumicino - 1
Seville - 2
Zurich - 4
On this hypothesis, one could discount DUB because you can't buy a LON-originating ticket on the EI flights concerned.

And that's just BA. However, to do the exercise properly, I suppose that you'd also have to list all the destinations to which you can fly from both LHR and LGW on carriers that will sell cheap one-ways, to allow for the possibility that the trip has been built on two one-way tickets on different airlines.

Given that many of these places are pretty standard fare for stag weekends, I suppose the short answer for the OP is "I haven't got a clue!"

You'd need more than light clothes for Amsterdam at the moment - not too bad, but not t-shirt and shorts weather!
