Its been noted as this being an Asian thing and perhaps it is cultural. I've just returned from holiday in China with 5 internal sectors. On *ALL* of them, without fail, the seatbelts are unbuckled on touchdown - yep, while still on the runway, braking and slowing to vacate. Unbelievable. Cabin Crew didn't seem to be too bothered.
I can only think that the PAX believe the belts are for your safety when in the air, as soon as on terra firma they serve no meaningful purpose.
As for turn arounds - at Yichang we were called to the gate, hastily rushed through, sat down, buckled up and in the air in *15* mins for a quite fully loaded 737. That's some turnaround.
On a similar note - when we left to fly to Beijing out of Munich we must have got an early slot. The emergency procedures video finished FIVE minutes after we had taken off (German, followed by English, followed by Chinese). Is this legal?
