Could someone explain how a Ryanair Travel Credit works ?
Is it electronic and available for use as soon as you claim, or is it some piece of paper that they send to you ?

For the benefit of anyone who has a similar problem the Ryanair travel credit appears to be electronic but not instantaneous - 7 days to process !
The result is that it cannot be used immediately to book an alternative to a flight that has been scrapped.
