Question BA123 - Mauritius

Hi everyone,

This is my first post, so I'm not sure if i've posted this in the right section. Appologies if I have not. On Sunday the 26th march I'm flying to Mauritius on BA123 and I was just wondering how and if you can find out how busy the flight is? Especially in WTP, just wondering if it was overbooked and the likelihood of an upgrade (its my 21st birthday). Thanks

Justin

You expect an upgrade because you'll be having your 21st birthday????

Good luck. - You'd be better off with a silver or gold card.

Plus, your details say you are 21 already.

I smell a rat?

Sorry, it's my 21st today. Not expecting one at all, but we can all hope.

Justin - a word to the wise.

There are a lot of myths about upgrades. Work on the theory that, like rabies, it is unlikely to happen to you, and if it ever does, it'll be one hell of a big surprise!

Plan on travelling in the seat/class that you've paid for - then you'll never be disappointed.

Better to be a pessimist than an optimist as you will constantly be surprised whereas an optimist can only ever be disappointed. ;-)

Well, I guess I was very lucky because I did get upgraded at the gate, I'm guessing the flight was overbooked! I'll be pessimistic about the return! lol.

I can confirm - yes, you were very lucky!!!

This never happens to me - ever. If you'll excuse me, I think I may need to cry a bit in the corner.
