Help please!

OK, first, I'm really sorry to clutter the board with this and if the mods want to pull it, I'll totally understand.

I need to transport my pet cat from Edinburgh (UK) to the island of Flores in the Azores (Portugal). This involves 4 legs - EDI-LHR, LHR-LIS, LIS-PDL and PDL-FLW. EDI to LIS is day one and LIS to FLW is day two.

I can't find any contact at BA or TAP or SATA to answer how I do this - can any of you guys in the business give me any tips about how I arrange this?

Is it true you can take a cat as hand baggage? If not, is there an animal lairage at LIS? etc. etc.?

Thanks in advance and like I said sorry but I just don't know who to ask about this.

Brgds, Neil
