porte-a-porte (CDG)

Out of curiosity (as always) how is it decided which connecting PAX are to be met by an airline rep. who will help them through (possibly taking a couple of shortcuts at security and/or police lines)? I could never figure out. One wild hypothesis would be that there are statistics kept, about how fast each one is able to run Or, maybe what matters is just the cost for the airline if the PAX does not make it? Or, maybe there is no logic at all? Who makes the decision?

Thanks

Sometimes pax are met when they are late i/b due to the airline bringing them in late. I state sometimes as it is not always possible due to staff resources.
