Question Mystery object on the ground!

As 'umble SLF, we occasionally get to look out of the plastic windows on the side of our transport to delight, as opposed to you gods who look out of 100% lead crystal portals, so you might be able to tell me what this is.

It's not a UFO story, but when I flew to Greece we overflew what I can only assume is a test track in Italy's heel (according to Google Earth it's at 40.19.29.01.N 17.49.30.02 E) - just wondered if anyone knows what it is?

Any info gratefully received!

Eric

It's Fiat's Nardo test facility. The circular track is used for high speed testing.
