Jet Blue???

Mrs Darth and I are off to Vegas from Boston in about a year to celebrate 25 years of marriage (assuming I don't come up for parole before then).

We've heard a lot about Jet Blue -- anyone got any good or bad experiences with them? Are they a low-cost carrier? Do you get to pick your seat? Is it SouthWest with wider seats?

I've tried navigating their website to get answers to questions

Yep, you get to select your seat when you book. The rest of their product is well documented on their website. I use them when I can whenever visiting the USA. I'd call them SUMRLCC (Slightly up-market relatively low-cost carrier). From my experiences I'd recommend them.

Jet Blue are fine and are about the only carrier I can think of who give Southwest a run for the money.

Did JFK-LAS with them recently. Not looking forward to 5 hours on a LCC with no food, but pleasantly surprised. Picked seats when making booking, towards the back they are 34-35 inch pitch. Live TV a real boon, just plug in the free headets and pass the time. Friendly crew always out with drinks and bags of crips / cookies etc, and a small snack pack before landing. Picked up a couple of sarnies in the terminal. 5 hours flew by. And dirt cheap to boot!

You can book your seat over the web. After row 12? the pitch increases to 35 inches on in the A320's.
Good deal for the money

If you want to know what Joe Public thinks about them, go here

The only complaint I ever heard about them was from some bloke who was not happy with them for not flying to his city yet.

Sounds like somebody's doing it right.
