How safe do you feel?

Following the unfortunate 737 crash in Greece, how safe do you feel. The thread on the 'rumour and news' forum suggests that only 3 people know the combination to the steel door lock!! and 2 of them are on the flight deck.

The question as to whether YOU (I) feel safe is entirely personal and nothing to do with fact. So I can say that I feel as safe as I always have done. I have been a passenger for 40 years and the statistics tell me that my passage is getting safer. I have no reason to doubt that.

If I die in a flying related prang, then I shall simply have met the other end of the scale. How I 'feel' about it - will make no differance at all. In the same way that some people say that their illness has been improved by prayer and statistacally it can be shown that is not true.

Every flight attendant at the company should know the code to request access to the flight deck.
If the front end has no idea why someone is using the key pad to get in they can deny access.
