Wanting to change an IB booking
Just wanted to know if anyone has any ideas on this. My wife booked flights for us to Madrid, and due to a change of appointments we need to get an earlier flight to Madrid (on the same day). Our local travel agency said ticket couldn't be changed.
We were provided with an e-ticket and on the section of conditions/restrictions called "Observations" in French, it only says that the Ticket is non-reimboursable. It does not mention anything about No changes etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

why not ring IB direct rather than the TA? It's still their ticket regardless of where booked. Surely they have a booking number in France. You'll probably pay a change fee or have to upgrade to the next economy level.
Airlines like AC are pushing easier changes because they rake in the change fees or encourage people to book higher economy tier fares just in case.

Just in case any of you are interested in this (which I severly doubt, and totally understand)... I changed my booking.
Went to Iberia Handling agent's desk here in TLS and there was no difficulty in changing the booking. Obviously the travel agent just couldn't be arsd to change it for us, as at the airport they said it was 'clearly' a flexible ticked with changes allowed.

When I was trying to position people fro my old man's final hours in Menorca, we developed the I.B.E.R.I.A. nmemonic.

Remember boys and girls travel agents do not make the big commissions for air travel anymore, therfore even if your a good customer, its wasting their time to do all the changes.
Anything can be done with money. I even had a non changeable ticket that the airline let me go standby when I couldnt make the assigned date. Cant and wont are not in the dictionary, someone can help if you have the time and a phone. You just have to move up the food chain at the Airline to get it done.
After it is done a nice letter to the airline with the helpful persons name also goes a long way. I have met some of these folks time and again on international flights and they remember those little nicities........Chocolate works good also...ha ha
