Easyjet Nice - "drunk" tries to board plane
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/articles/18174870
Does anyone know more about this? The problem seems more to do with NCE than EZ, but if the gate is closed, isn't that the end of the matter?

I believe there is liitle that can be done to stop a determined unarmed passenger from exiting the terminal via an alarmed emergeny door and running out on the apron to save their life from fire or greet a plane.
It seems to me that the practical controls worked. i.e. he was denied boarding.

"Drunk tries to stop easyJet on runway"
How is this possible?
"I thought maybe they were going to let him on, but he just stood there while the engines started up It was so dangerous."
How can the drunken passenger make his way to the runway and also how can the aircraft make its way to the active runway without engine power.

Translation - Populist Aviatics
Maybe it is time for a translation of populist aviatics into our language:
Runway: means anywhere airside.
Landing Lights: means any lights on an aeroplane or even an airplane
Giant: means big enough to carry passengers
Dangerous: means any unusual situation
Overshoot: means run off the end of the runway
Air pocket: means turbulence
Victim: means an inconvenienced person (who might score a freebie)
Emergency: see Dangerous
Fire: means smoke
Engine fire: means torching
The Pilot: means the Captain
The Cabin: means the Cockpit
Counselling: means lawyers
...and so on. We will never beat them, so we had better learn the language.

Lomapaseo refers to there being no way to stop a determined, unarmed person getting through fire doors. Doesn't give us much of a sporting chance with somebody who is both determined and ARMED!

Can non-pilots play?
Terror - a state of some anxiety occurring among passengers when something out of the ordinary seems to have happened.
Lucky escape - leaving the aeroplane as usual after a flight in which something out of the ordinary happened.
