KLM - Amsterdam to Nairobi - What plane?

Travelling to Kenya during the Summer and been booked (after connecting flight to Ams) on KLM to Nairobi. Anyone out there know what KLM operate on this route?

KL565 at 1045 arriving 1950 is a 777. KL4341 at 2040 arriving 0610 next day is a 767 operated by Kenya Airlines.

Thanks for that Hartington. I am indeed travelling out on KL565 but the return flight in KL4340 - do you know if this will be 767 or one of the newer 777's?

Its a Kenya Airways 76, my daughter went on one last year and said it looked brand new, all PTV etc and the service was excellent.

it would be great if it was ineed Kenya Airways as we travelled this route with them before and found them great. Had a bad experience though with KLM returning from Athens some years back so not so sure about them. Flight info given from the travel company shows KLM to Nairobi - is it normal that this would still be Kenya Airways operating the route?

565 is an MD11 at the moment, becomes a 767 for a while and then, from 5 June it switches to a 777.

Any flight KL434x is a KQ 767 so it looks like you're actually travelling out on KL and back on KQ whatever the flight numbers say.

This is one of the consequences of code sharing where the flight number doesn't always match the operating carrier.

The Travel Agency is under a legal requirement (under the EU regulations) to tell you precisely which airline is actually operating the flight.
