Anywhere to park at Stanstead without paying

Hi
I'm flying to Germany on Friday for 2 weeks of contract flying and wanted to know if there was somewhere to park my car near Stanstead untill my return without shelling out 70+ quid to the airport.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
Col.

RAPA, try parking in one of the small villages near stansted then get a cab to the airport.

Disclaimer: can't guarantee your car will be there when you get back but you only live once.

I am sure that it will be. Apart, perhaps, from the wheels.

Since Stanstead is a village near Sudbury in suffolk I would think
there would be no charge to park there!! However there are plenty of streets in Bishops Stortford near the railway station
served by the stansted express!!

Oh I don't know, this is part of country where "honest joe" lives.........not where " you know what I mean wack" land, wherein it would be lucky to survive the hour.

I'm sure there are loads of places to park without paying. Unfortunately, there may be consequences for non-payment

As someone who lives close to STN I resent the above piece of advice as it is bad enough as a resident trying to park in your own village without tourists taking parking space because they are too tight to park in the official areas......

VEEPS

PS if he is too tight there is a pub called The Three Horshoes just south of the terminal who has a field behind and I understand he is cheap

Well Guys...

Thanks to this thread Im sure there are a lot of residents of various Suffolk towns cursing the lot of you because they wont be able to park beside their own homes! I suggest you take the train to Stanstead....otherwise these cute little towns will become parking lots for cheapskates before they turn into Pay And Display zones with stupid Gatwick style speed cushions!

AArrghhh!!

When will you people learn that Stansted doesn't have an 'a' in it, the same as Qantas doesn't have a 'u'.

God, I'm pi$$ed off today.

Rant over, thank you very much for listening.
