Route maps

Could anyone provide me with a link or a web site where I could find fairly detailed maps of flight routes (of similar detail to what you would see on the live flight tracker during flight).
I have family flying Emirates from LHR to PER, and they are simply interested in which countries/cities they will be flying over.
Or if someone simply knows (roughly) the route they will take, I would appreciate the information.

Thanking you in advance for your replies.

I have a link for the first part of the flight (DXB):

Look for "Middle East" in the table.

From: temporarily unsure :-)
if you've got fs2002,you could get it to plot your most likely route, using the ifr and high alt airways options.its very difficult to tell you what precise route you'll follow though,as for any single route (ie city pair),there are up to eight or even more regular routes on the airways, chosen according to weather and traffic on the day.

The coolest Screensaver

Is available from Star Alliance, giving real time flight positions all over the world. Even updates the timetables every couple of weeks to ensure it is accurate.

Installed it at the office, then spent the next two days sending copies to colleagues.

Free download from www.staralliance.com

Talking

Thanks for the replies guys. Always get more sense on here compared to that 'other' spotters website.

Star Alliance screensaver

Is definitely the coolest screensaver in the world. But as far as I can see, it only operates on timetabled schedules, not real-time flight positions - and seems to "fly" the aircraft only on Great Circle routes rather than real tracks.
