DVT and inactivity in passenger cabin

The lack of freedom of movement in the passenger cabin can cause the increase in DVT hence litagation incurred on Airlines flying to the US

This is exactly what I said last week in response to the toilet queue issue on longhaul flights!

I thought the Medical experts had put the link between DVT and air travel to bed (viz: there is absolutely no link between flying and DVT).

Perhaps a Ppruner from the Medical fraternity could enlighten us?
