Travel Health Guidelines

To all fellow SLF, if you travel a lot, you may be interested in a publication that my colleagues and I released in 2002 and which is available free as a pdf download from http://www.ipieca.org/publications/health.html Although designed for the oil industry, it is basically applicable to anyone who travels frequently longhaul to exotic destinations. It was designed as a readable and portable version of those excellent but very large tomes on travel health which are impractical to carry with you on every trip.
We updated it in 2003 but are always looking for suggestions for improvement. Although the document was reviewed by a panel of GP's and travel medicine specialists prior to publication, there is always new information (eg on DVT) coming along, so write to us if you spot anything new - partcularly if you are a medical professional.
