I'm flying out through LHR T3 in early December. Just wondering if it's worth spending the 18 odd pounds to gain access to the lounge to escape the massed hordes. I ask because my flight leaves at 11am on a Saturday morning, and I know T3 at that time day and on that particular day of the week is absolute bedlam!
So is it worth spending the money?

I have not used this particular Servisair lounge for a number of years, so cannot comment on it's facilities.
In this matter, I am biased. If I am travelling long haul - then I would use a lounge, as a matter of course. If I not on a ticket to entitle me to one then I would pay.
I find the main areas have less seating and certainly fewer comfortable seats. I find the noise of the shops and the children, more irritating as the years go by. The quietness is worth the money (to me).

I would say not.
I used it earlier this year and it was very busy and not at all quiet. I also used it some time ago and this year, not realising the location had changed, went back to its original site. This has now changed to a 'Quiet Area' and was practically empty. Of course, there wasn't any nibbles or drinks but I would have saved myself £30 or so!!!!
Perhaps a pruner in T3 can confirm its still there.
