Thumbs up Man-Banjul

Flying Man-Banjul next week (JMC/TCX), two quick questions, any idea what type likley to be used, also the normal nice request for jumpseat won't pass my lips. however, any idea's if a request to have my transceiver on to listen to ATC (using small headset) will be greeted in a friendly or not so friendly manner. Many thanks for any answers.

Transceiver? Sorry, No. Not at all. Ever.

This question was raised within the past week and on many occasions before.

Hi Holdposition

Excuse the post above, it's just that I was commenting on the repeated questions about using radios on board in another thread.

There has been a lot of discussion on PPRUNE about using radios on board mainly centering around the possibility of problems caused by recievers.

As in your post you say you have a transciever you no doubt appreciate the possibilty for interferance (Strong local source etc.) and hence why it would not be allowed on board.

Memetic.
