International Flights and Alcohol

Just a query regarding serving of alcohol on international flights - say a flight between Australia and America: what is the legal minimum drinking age on the flight? Given that on the ground in Australia it's 18, in america it's 21, im confused what would happen between the two. Do you go by Departure location laws, Arrival, or those of the country in which the aircraft is registered? (Or, is there something in the ICAO regs?)

Thanks

Lasior

Believe it depends on the country of registration of the aircraft, so an 18 year old can get boozed up on BA but not AA, KL but now NW, BD but not UA, etc......
