Barraba Fly In
Barraba is near Gunnedah. Every year they have a fly in where a whole bunch of real aeroplanes (Grummans) mix with pretend aeroplanes (non-grummans :E ).
BUT, the atmosphere is great and there are many many pubs :} So come along, first weekend in May. AK |
just posting to put it up the top
:E
But then I discovered the minimum character o now I have to say something. How about "see you at Barraba" :p AK |
I went out there one year good fly in, take a jumper if your going it was pretty cold.
|
BEER!!!
Yeah, but beer warms you up, and now this is back near the top :)
|
Hope these are the real Grummans.....i.e. biplanes with R-1340 up front (or R-985 in flat country).....Bearcats, Wildcats and TBM's are okay too.
Surely you are not trying to suggest that shoeboxes with the sliding resealable lid are worthy of the Grumman name! |
You are a blasphemer, may you reside in Cessnas for ever more!!!
|
ooooh look, I put this up the top again :}
Come to Barraba and join AOPA while you are there AK |
Id love to go. I would be my first fly in. However from what I remember about Barraba last time I flew there its a bit small isnt it?
Wish I could go but I have school exams to study for instead (you know that HSC thing) By the way isnt Barabra halfway between Armidale and Narrabri?:uhoh: |
Airstrip is 900 meters. heaps.
there are still plenty of rooms in the pub. Just north of Gunnedah, near lake keepit AK |
Make that 1200 meters, and firm when wet. What else could you ask for.
|
Im trainning over in Armidale. Maybee I well come over for an hour or two
|
